Between May and June 2026, all Debian Linux workstations will be upgraded to the latest stable version, 'Trixie'.
This is because the current version, “Bookworm”, will reach the end of its life on 9 June 2026.

What does this mean for you?

Almost nothing will change in your daily work routine. Your familiar work environment will remain the same and no major changes are expected. The upgrade will primarily update the installed software to a newer version.

Do you need to do anything?

No, you don't need to do anything. We will perform the upgrade in the background.
Please note that your system will restart after the upgrade.

When will the upgrade take place?

The upgrade is scheduled to take place between May and June 2026.
The time of each upgrade will be coordinated in advance.
Please note that, due to the upcoming end of life (EOL), it is not possible to delay this indefinitely. Migration is mandatory for all workstations.

It's time to say good bye to eGroupware and welcome to SOGo.
As we outlined in our previous posting, we will be switching to a new calendar solution.
We coordinated with those of you using group calendars and have migrated those already. Now it's time to move the individual personal calendars. This cannot be automated and will have to be performed by each user, but of course we're here to assist if needed.
To make the change as easy as possible for you, we have written a readme.
We ask you to complete the migration by the end of August, so that eGroupware can be decommisioned afterwards.
