Spamfilter Integrated into Mailing Lists Manager
Annoucements Posted by Axel Beckert on Wednesday June 14, @03:32PM

Especially mailing lists have been suffering from a big load of spam during the last few weeks. Most users didn't notice it, but the mailing list moderator did. So the last weeks we tested the intergration of our spam filtering infrastructure into our mailing list software using the SpamAssassin plugin for Mailman.

Starting from today, the moderators of mailing lists only have to moderate mails of which the spam filter is not sure whether they are spam or not. Mails which are surely spam for the system get discarded directly without interaction.

If any mailing list moderator notices real mails to be dropped by the spam filter please notify us. We would also like to have feedback if we should lower the threshold for what is considered spam and gets automatically discarded and what not.
