from the bye-bye dept. Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer for Apple Macintosh is no longer supported since 31. December, 2005. Read on in case you are using IE on a Mac. For a long time, IE4Mac was one of the best browsers generally. In a time where webdevelopers worked around bugs in IE for Windows and Netscape, IE4Mac worked as expected. But in 2002, Microsoft stopped the developement of IE4Mac. The last Updates are from summer 2003. Since then, no more bugfixes or upgrades were announced. Since the end of last year, support for IE4Mac is no longer available. Download will only be possible until end of month. In case you are still using IE4Mac, you must switch over to a different browser in the next few days. We recommend Firefox, but Safari is also a solution. There is no secure solution for MacOS 9 - consider an upgrade to MacOS X in case you are using still a MacOS 9 based Mac for your daily work. < | >
