  Let's chat! - Part I
Tip of the week Posted by Beat Rubischon on Tuesday November 30, @04:48PM
from the tippeditappeditippeditappedi dept.
Email is a nice tool - but quite often you need a faster way to communicate. A tool which allows to talk real time. IRC is a well known tool, designed for chatting in groups.

We are operating irc.ethz.ch since a long time and our team is quite around the clock in #isgphys.

You find now some documentation and a Readme how to use IRC. Even more, you will find a java based client which allows you to chat without installing a IRC client.

Our news system does not support javascript in the postings, so I have now removed the link to the java based client. Please use it from the documentation page.
