  CD Burning is Working Again
Annoucements Posted by Elmar Heeb on Thursday October 07, @06:44PM

We have reconfigured our Linux workstations so that you can burn CDs again. We had to tighten security a bit, so if you are interested in burning CDs read on.

After the security problem that we announced earlier this week we had to reconfigure the permissions for CD burning. It is now required that you log in at the workstation itself to use the CD burning programs cdrecord or xcdroast. Remotely logged in users will not be able to burn CDs.

If you want to learn how to burn CDs or DVDs on our Linux workstations you should read the documentation in our Linux section on this web site.
