  Break in at CERN
Annoucements Posted by Beat Rubischon on Friday September 24, @07:12AM
from the shit-happens dept.
We got the message that LXPLUS at CERN had a break in during the night from 22. to 23.9.04. The attacker replaced the ssh client binary with a trojan version that sends out the passwords typed in. Please change your password in case you are working at CERN.

Don't forget to change also your n.ethz.ch and your cluster passwords. It's not uncommon for intruders to track users from one machine to another.
