Possible problem in the UPNP service
Microsoft Posted by Beat Rubischon on Friday June 25, @08:25AM

A posting in the BUGTRAQ mailinglist shows a problem in the UPNP implementation of Windows XP. Please switch off you windows workstation during this weekend to keep them out of reachability of an eventual hacking attack!

Yesterday we had a Windows notebook with actual patches running a Serv-U FTPD. This is quite common after break in in Windows computers. It may be a implication of the new problem. As long as now more information is known, we could only advise to switch off all unused Windows workstations.
