from the a-long-weekend dept. The security people of ETHZ discovered several hacked Windows machines this morning. Please switch off any unused Windows workstation during this long weekend. It's not yet clear if those break ins have happened during the time MS04-011 was not installed on the computer or if it is a completely new problem. Our Windows expert will get more information on Tuesday. Until then, please switch off any unused Windows workstation (not Linux or MacOS X workstations and of course no servers :-) to minimize the risk of a break in during this 3 days weekend. < | >
