  Critical Windows Update (ASN.1)
Microsoft Posted by Fabian Wenk on Wednesday February 11, @09:45AM
from the urgent-patch-install dept.
Last night Microsoft has released an updated version of the Windows Security Bulletin Summary for February 2004 which contains the new Security Bulletin MS04-007 ASN.1 Vulnerability Could Allow Code Execution (828028).
Be sure to run Windows Update now on all the Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 sytems to install this update.

This vulnerability has a similar impact as the one used by the W32.Blaster / Lovesan Worm last summer, which could also be misused by individuals to break in into your computer.

Also there is a new Security Bulletin MS04-006 Vulnerability in the Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) Could Allow Code Execution (830352). This update is only needed for the Server versions of Windows NT/2000/2003.
