  Problems with Internet Explorer
Microsoft Posted by Beat Rubischon on Monday January 12, @08:48AM
from the buggie-software dept.
Internet Explorer has some known problems since a month and Microsoft seems not to fix them with the monthly patch arriving tomorrow. Read on when you are using Windows.

URLs (links) could be obfuscated by inserting a invisible character. See our exemple - the link seems to go to ETHZ, but you will be directed to our site.

Several mails are known which tells you to enter your credit card ID on a site like VISA. But with this bug, you enter the data on a different site.

McAfee, available through IDES, should complain about a trojan included in this link. But much better then relying on a virus scanner, switch over to a free browser like Mozilla.

As usual, Microsoft will fix this bug through Windowsupdate and you should go to this site at least once a week.
